Cozumel, Mexico can be very touristy as we found out walking along the main roads aligned with numerous shops and vendors yelling at you to buy all the things. So in light of taking a chance and being adventurous we got a moped and went off-roading to areas where there were more wild dogs than people. I was a bit scared but mostly excited to see what is normally unseen in Mexican rural areas. We drove pretty far out and thankfully the GPS didn’t fail or we would have been completely lost. There was just so much to see so I tried to include as much as possible in the video.

Almost out of the woods and off the muddy path the moped slipped right out from under us and I ended up with a skinned knee. Not letting that tumble dampen our spirits we did what any dirt-covered civilians would do and went snorkeling to clean off. The water was refreshing and crystal clear with little fishes swimming around in the coral. What little stress I felt from our fall earlier was easily drained away by the cool water. It may not have been the most conventional way to see Cozumel but it sure was the most thrilling travel experience I have had yet. My response to the question “Are you sure you want to spend the extra money for the moped?” will forever be “Hell yes, let’s make a memory!”

Everything about Toccoa Falls on the Toccoa Falls College campus was magical. The clear water and sand were glistening like tiny jewels and the mist was refreshing on a hot day. Digging my toes in the sand I was jealous that I did not have a place this amazing to study at when I was in college. The falls were gigantic and I just wanted to sit there all day and enjoy the view!

I did eventually drag myself away from this little slice of heaven to go meet up with my Aunt who took us on a crazy off-road adventure in her Jeep to some falls that only the locals know about. I could not be more giddy getting to climb up them without signs telling me not to  😀

Our first stop on the road trip was Amicalola Falls State Park in Georgia. We got there bright and early after driving through the night and sustaining the only speeding ticket for the whole trip! I admit it was a bit of a mood dampener at first until we parked and got out of the car to the roaring sound of rushing water. Florida doesn’t really have waterfalls so I have never seen one even though I am completely obsessed with them. I was worried it would not hold to my high expectations until I got a peek from the top of the falls overlooking the mountains. Absolutely gorgeous and everything I was hoping for!! We clambered down the twisting, winding steps through the forest to reach the bottom of the falls and got some really awesome long-exposure shots. Without meaning to it kind of became a theme to drink a bit from each waterfall I came in contact with. Tastes like freedom 😉

I highly, highly recommend Georgia and North Carolina (but more on that to come) if you are looking for some beautiful waterfalls to admire. Without wasting any time we were back on the road heading to the next destination…

Had a moment to take some snaps of this all white casual look I wore the other day to run some errands. This gorgeous embellished bag is one of my newest purchases. I usually don’t buy smaller purses because I like to be prepared like a boyscout and have everything I could ever need all in one bag (even though I really could do without my dinosaur flashlight). I realized after the last few nights out with friends that I really needed something cute and small for just the basics, and this purse is perfect! Not to mention it will match any outfit, adding detail and class–something I could use more of sometimes.
