Watkins Glen State Park was one of my all time favorite places to visit on this road trip. I highly, highly recommend anyone and everyone to spend a day walking through this gorge. It was like strolling through a picturesque scene from Lord of the Rings or a real-life fairy tale. The stone steps take you under and over waterfalls and along rapid waters and trickling streams and through caves. It was impossible not to be awestruck and also quite impossible not to get completely soaked. As I have mentioned before, try to get to the park as early as possible to avoid the midday rush of tourists. I like the serenity that comes with having the whole place to oneself for a while. I loved this park so much and I give past Brittany two thumbs up and a pat on the back for making this a part of our trip.
