River Arts District

After getting tired out from climbing a million stairs that morning, we drove to Asheville to meet a friend for lunch at the River Arts District. The artists there work with open doors and you can walk around their studio and watch them create something new right in front of you. They are all so friendly and most of their work is on sale. Every inch of every building was covered in paintings, sketches, sculptures, art of all kinds. We spoke with a couple of glass-blowers making beautiful glass ballerina pieces while talking about their process. I had never been anywhere quite like it before so I am glad we had the chance to stop by and look around before heading to our next destination.
