This dress has sat in my closet for far too long and has not seen any action lately, but that’s probably because I think it’s almost too pretty to wear. It’s breathable (if you live in Florida you know that is a HUGE plus) and the waterfall effect makes me feel like a mythical garden fairy 🙂 I paired this with a yellow belt and wristlet to brighten the look even more, but you could easily throw on some heels and a leather jacket for a night out. I really like the look of high low maxis over regular maxis, they tend to show a little more leg without looking too heavy or shapeless. I also believe a lot of maxis can restrict your movement and make you walk like a penguin and everybody knows penguins can’t outrun zombies…

We have two cats and one really likes to go outside. She is fairly new to the “being walked on a leash” thing and is mostly interested in catching lizards. Her name is Pawdry Hepburn or just Paw for short and she is just as much of a princess as her name suggests. Taking pictures of cats is hard, they never sit still! But she seemed to go along with our shenanigans for a bit.
Side note announcement: our next trip has been officially planned! Yayy!! 🙂 East Coast Roadtrip Extravaganza here we come! I am so excited to finally get to stop and explore rather than drive right through the states. Just two more weeks 😀

We decided to go adventuring for a few hours through Withlacoochee State Forest the other day. I drove around aimlessly for a while through what my gps told me was the forest down long white shell roads until realizing the part we were in was the wrong area. Being the third largest forest in Florida we got a bit lost until we looped back to the beginning and stopped at the trailhead. We hiked down River Trail and soaked up some nature until the sun got too hot. I also took a peek at the paved biking path making a note to visit again soon with our bicycles. For those that have more time to explore I’ve heard there are caves near some of the trails to go spelunking!

Had the opportunity to catch the most beautiful sunset the other day and enjoy the soft and blissful orange glow of this classic Florida landscape. It was really windy and my dress/coverup and hair was being whipped around like crazy. Anybody with long hair can relate to the insane helicopter effect it causes 😉 Otherwise it was a really great way to end the week! Also let us all just pretend like we did not see the “DO NOT CLIMB ON ROCKS” sign…heh. What sign? I saw no sign *proceeds to climb up rock ledge*. I have three words for that bossy sign: pshh yeah oookay…I’m too stubborn to let that sign tell me how to live my life.
