I decided to take the bae to a cozy Saturday morning brunch before exploring the city on foot for once. I really love this restaurant, it’s part bookstore, part tea shop and the place is loaded with cute items you can buy not to mention the food is great! Strawberry nutella french toast anyone? I have been dying for the occasion to wear this spectacular summery dress from H&M. Instead of walking in between all the hot buildings I was (not uncharacteristically) pulled toward an open park alongside a waterway. I spent the majority of our after-brunch stroll twirling around in this dress. I was skeptical at first about the yellow and navy blue color combo but it wasn’t long before I fell in love with it. 10/10 would recommend! Overall not a bad way to spend the morning ^.^

This little polka dot dress was just right for the blazing hot day at the park. It is very breathable and can double as a strapless dress too! I ditched my cardigan quickly and went with a ponytail for awhile trying to beat the heat. All that hair can get out of hand sometimes! I may or may not be a butterfly whisperer now too so that is one thing I accomplished in life 🙂

On the last trip to Universal and Islands of Adventure we decided to take the camera for once and snap some candids, as I don’t think we will be going back any time soon now that our passes have expired. One thing you all should know about me as a qualifying statement is that I like dinosaurs, so I apologize in advance for the many future dinosaur related photos I may post…sorry not sorry. I am also a pretty big fan of Harry Potter, so we spent the majority of our time in both Harry Potter worlds and Jurassic Park on our farewell journey. Passing through Islands of Adventure first I gazed upon Doom’s Fearfall and spent some time contemplating if I finally had the courage to ride it (there is actually an above shot of me scratching my head and thinking about whether I wanted to die today). I told myself I would probably never get another chance like this again and decided to go for it. Best decision ever! I cannot believe I had been skipping it all the other times I had come!
We also got adventurous and went on Ripsaw Falls, a river rapids ride that I usually skip because I prefer not to walk around in wet cloths, but I thought what the heck, it’s hot, I’m game, lets do this! This probably explains my scraggly, wet mut look that is all the rage in the rest of my photos 😉
I probably spent way more time than necessary in the DinoStore before making it to Harry Potter and taking the train to Universal’s Harry Potter. Eventually our adventure had to come to an end, but to make myself feel better about it I snagged a donut the size of my face from Lard Lad in the Simpsons. I love roller coasters and theme parks in general, so I hope to come back some time in the future when there are new rides!

Had a moment to take some snaps of this all white casual look I wore the other day to run some errands. This gorgeous embellished bag is one of my newest purchases. I usually don’t buy smaller purses because I like to be prepared like a boyscout and have everything I could ever need all in one bag (even though I really could do without my dinosaur flashlight). I realized after the last few nights out with friends that I really needed something cute and small for just the basics, and this purse is perfect! Not to mention it will match any outfit, adding detail and class–something I could use more of sometimes.
